CarMate Privacy, Terms and Conditions

  1. The user shall buy SIM card with Data and calling Plan to be able to use the device specific features.

  2. Keeping the confidentiality of the enclosed QR codes is the responsibility of the user.

  3. The company is not responsible of any damage might happen to the device in a result of wrong installing of misunderstanding the recommended instructions.

  4. It's highly recommended to install CarMate by a trained vehicle technician.

  5. The device should not be exposed to liquids nor high aggressive impact.

  6. The device should not be exposed to direct flames or high heating or weather condition with temperature more than 70 Celsius degrees.

  7. The User shall add user phone number and SOS numbers on the mobile app to be able to use the mobile app features such as giving access to more users and adding more cars.

  8. the device is under two years warranty from purchase date and to be replaced if there any fault by the factory.

  9. For drivers’ safety, the device owner/user cannot turn off the vehicle remotely

  10. The devices allow only one user to control the vehicle at the same time for drivers’ safety

  11. Please call with the recommended authorized maintenance providers in case of any faults or damage.

  12. CarMate box contains one control unit only. If the user wants to acquire another control unit, it has to be purchased separately.

  13. The mobile app has to be downloaded and installed prior to device installed in the vehicle.

  14. The user has the right to get a refund of a purchased device with one condition that the device is not installed already on a vehicle and it has to be in good condition.

  15. The warranty shall be cancelled in case of opening the plastic casings of any part of the device by un authorised personnel. This has to be done only by an authorized technician by the company.

  16. Installation spots of the device is not constant, however, it's highly recommended they be installed in hidden spots in the vehicle and not to be disclosed.

  17. In case of reselling CarMate device or the vehicle, the user must reset the device to factory sittings prior the reselling. The Company is not responsible for previous users’ personal information. in case if they didn't follow the appropriate instructions to reset the device to factory sittings prior the reselling process. the reset process is only available on the CarMate app sittings under UNINSTALL CARMATE DEVICE button.

  18. The company is not responsible if the user can't connect with the device if there no SIM card installed in the device or running out of data provided by the cell service provider.

  19. SMS and calls used to connect with the device are subject to charges by the service provider

  20. The company is not responsible for the pin code pr the password of the mobile app. in case of forgetting password, the user shall re-use the Master QR to retrieve.

  21. The user will be able to see the last available location for the vehicle before it went in the no network coverage area.

  22. The company is not responsible for the device performance in case of any previous defaults in the vehicle or unfunctional car battery.

  23. In case of adding multiple vehicles on the mobile under one user in the same Wi-Fi range with the phone, this user must assign the desired care to be driven first.

  24. It's highly recommended to contact the technical support in case of facing any technical issues or difficulties installing the device in the vehicle. The company is not responsible in case of not following any of the instructions written in the device user manual.

  25. It is the owner responsibility to ensure the proper installation and fixing of the main unit and not letting it loose or hanging so that the device can detect the unauthorized movement in the OFF state as it contains a motion sensor.
